PHCC Health Centers Receives 16,546 Patients During Eid Al Adha Holiday

The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) reported that 16,546 patients, including citizens and residents, were received at its 20 health centers that were operational during Eid al-Adha holiday which extended from Sunday June 16,2024 until Thursday June 20, 2024.

 

The indicated number encompasses all patients who visited the general and family medicine clinics, totaling 12,297 individuals, while general dental clinics received 928 patients. This number also encompasses all cases attended to the "Urgent Units" in 11 health centers, namely Al Mashaf, Al Sadd, Abu Baker Al Siddiq, Al Ruwais, Al Shihaniyah, Al Kaaban, Gharrafat Al Rayyan, Rawdat Al Khail, Muaither, Umm Salal and Al Karaana health centers, where a total of 1,746 cases were managed based on their medical urgency needs.

 

During the Eid holiday, PHCC ensured the availability of several specialized services to cater to the needs of all patients, including the ophthalmology, ENT, dermatology, premarital examination, as well as pharmacy, radiology and laboratory services. At Leabaib and Rawdat Al Khail health centers, the ophthalmology clinic received 169 patients, ENT clinic received 148 patients and dermatology clinic received 161 patients, while the premarital examination clinic received 36 patients at Leabaib, Al Mashaf and Al Rayyan health centers.

 

The Community Call Center (16000) facilitated 527 virtual medical consultations, encompassing both video and telephone calls, for patients who reached out without booked appointments. These consultations ensured expedited access to the necessary health care for patients classified as urgent cases, while also enabling timely prescriptions of required medications by specialist physicians.

 

PHCC stressed that all on-duty health centers have been diligent in accommodating patients promptly ensuring their needs are met without delay or extended waiting time, noting that meeting patients’ needs is a top priority for PHCC in alignment with Qatar’s national health strategy and national vision 2030.

 

PHCC has further stressed the significance of exerting utmost efforts to deliver exceptional medical and healthcare services to both citizens and residents, demonstrating its unwavering commitment in this domain.
