PHCC Oral Health Promotion and Prevention Department, led by Dr. Najat Al Yafie, had organized Ahlan Oral Health Campaign during the period between 18^th – 29^th February 2024 with the support of the Operations Department and Corporate Communications Department.  The campaign achieved a remarkable success in in terms of the public turnout, where it emphasized the importance of achieving the oral health and well-being of individuals. Numerous awareness activities were conducted across all 31 health centers through joint collaboration between health center directors and dental staff who established interactive platforms to engage with patients and visitors, provided guidance and lectures and distributed toothbrush gifts to the campaign visitors. Some activities were specifically designed to capture the attention of children, aiming to educate as many individuals as possible about the campaign messages for a widespread benefit.

The campaign involved visits to three government and private entities to raise the awareness of their employees and conduct dental check-ups in order to educate them about the importance of maintaining healthy gums and teeth; namely the headquarters of Qatar museum, Oilfield Projects Development Company and Wifaq Family Consulting Center. The campaign also involved visits to some schools for persons with disabilities where a full-day workshop carried out at Awsaj Academy, during which interactive sessions were delivered to kindergartens and primary students in their classrooms. Educational lectures were also delivered, and oral check-ups were carried out for 84 students at the Al-Noor Center for the Blind as well as 32 students from the Shafallah Centre.

The Corporate Communication Department supported the social media platforms by disseminating awareness and behavioral messages on oral disease prevention, the correlation between oral health and overall health, the importance of regular dental check-ups, encouraging to utilize dental services for improved oral health.

In continuation of the campaign, Dr. Hamad Al Mudahka, Executive Director of Preventive Health Department, has confirmed that PHCC is hosting a huge awareness event at Katara Cultural Village in order to further expand the campaign to a wider audience where Ahlan Oral Health tent will be open for three days from 25^th – 27^th March 2024 from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am for all to visit.
