The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) announced that the medical commission service will be transferred from Al Wakra Health Center to the recently opened Al Mashaf Health Center in order to alleviate overcrowding due to the limited spaces available at Al Wakra Health Center which was established in 1991. This applies to Qatari patients and customers and GCC citizens as an endeavor to provide world-class healthcare in alignment with the National Health Strategy aimed at reinforcing healthcare deliverables and improving the quality of services provided to the population.
The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has confirmed that the medical commission service will fully discontinue at Al Wakra Health Center effective from January 1st, 2023, and that Al Mashaf Health Center will start receiving Qataris registered at Al Wakra Health Center as of that date to alleviate overcrowding and provide ultimate comfort to Qatari patients and customers.
It is worth noting that the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) is currently running 30 health centers after the official opening of Umm Al Seneem Health Center and Al Mashaf Health Center.
PHCC has also launched recently the urgent care service at Al Mashaf Health Center bringing the total number of health centers that provide this service to 9 health centers.
Given that the health centers that provide the urgent care services 24 hours all weekdays are: Al Ruwais Health Center, Umm Slal Health Center, Muaither Health Center, Al Gharrafa Health Center, Al Sheehaniya Health Center, Abu Baker Sidiq Health Center, Rawdat Al Khail Health Center, Al Kaaban Health Center, and the ninth is the state-of-art Al Mashaf Health Center that was recently opened.
The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) strives to achieve the National Primary Health Care Strategy which is committed to enabling a swifter patient access to high quality health care services which would result in gaining the satisfaction of patients and customers.
