The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has added Urgent Care Services to Al Meshaf Health Center, bringing the total number of health centers providing this service to nine health centers.
Health centers that provide Urgent Care Services 24 hours a day, seven days a week are Al Ruwais, Umm Slal, Muaither, Al Gharrafa, Al Sheehaniya, Abu Baker, Rawdat Al Khail, Al Kaaban, and Al Meshaf, the ninth state-of-the-art health center that has recently opened.
PHCC stated that its clinical teams at 30 health centers are ready to provide medical care to children aged five years and over who have urgent but non-emergency medical conditions. This includes a respiratory tract infection, mild fever, throat pain or ear pain. Parents can take their child, without a prior appointment, to their registered health center between 7am and 11pm, or to any of PHCC’s nine Urgent Care Units, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
PHCC’s Urgent Care Units provide round the clock care for patients with non-threatening medical needs under primary care, such as minor burns, sprains, severe headache or earache, high fever, dehydration, and dizziness. Parents can take their children to any PHCC Urgent Care Unit, regardless of which health center they are registered at.
PHCC is keen to achieve the National Primary Health Care Strategy, which is committed to enabling the patient to obtain high-quality and fast primary health care services, thus achieving high level of patient and visitor satisfaction.
