The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) announced that all the vaccinations required for Hajj or Umrah are available free of charge in all of its 28 health centers in various regions of the country.
The Department of Communicable Diseases of the Department of Infection Control at PHCC indicated that the Ministry of Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has noted a number of controls that stipulate this year’s Hajj.
For the age group, the person needs to be less than 65 years old. The requirement to complete immunization with basic doses of approved COVID-19 vaccines provided that it is not less than two doses for the pilgrim wishing to perform the pilgrimage this year. Pilgrims from outside the Kingdom must submit a negative coronavirus test result for a sample taken within 72 hours before the departure date.
The PHCC stressed the importance of taking vaccinations well before Hajj (10 days or more before travel) to prevent some infectious diseases, as vaccinations vary between what is mandatory and what is optional.
