The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has announced the working hours of its health centers during the National Day holiday, which falls on Wednesday and Thursday, December 18 and 19, 2024.
According to the announcement, 20 out of the 31 health centers affiliated with the corporation will remain operational during the holiday. These centers include Al Wakra, Airport, Al Mashaf, Omar Bin Al Khattab, West Bay, Al Thumama, Al Sadd, Rawdat Al Khail, Leabaib, Umm Salal, Gharrafat Al Rayyan, Madinat Khalifa, Abu Baker Al Siddiq, Al Rayyan, Mesaimeer, Al Khor, Al Ruwais and Al Sheehaniya.
Additionally, Al Jamiliya Health Center will operate on a 24-hour call basis. Family medicine services and support services at health centers both within and outside Doha will be available continuously from 7 AM to 11 PM, while dental services will be available from 7 AM to 10 PM at the designated centers.
“Closed Health Centers During the Holiday”
Eleven health centers will be closed during the National Day holiday, including Umm Ghuwailina, South Wakra, Leghwairiya, Al Daayen, Qatar University, Al Wajbah, Al Waab, Abu Nakhla and Umm Al Saneem. Al Kaaban and Al Karaana health centers will provide urgent care services only.
Specialized clinics will continue to operate based on previously scheduled appointments for patients during two shifts: the morning shift from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM and the evening shift from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Ophthalmology, dermatology and ENT clinics will be available at Leabaib and Al- Ruwais health centers. The pre-marital medical examination clinic at Al Rayyan Health Center will be open on Wednesday, December 18, during the morning shift from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM and in the evening shift from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. On Thursday, December 19, the pre-marital examination clinic will be available at Leabaib Health Center during the morning shift only from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
“Urgent Care Services”
Twelve health centers will provide 24-hour urgent care services. These health centers will accommodate adult urgent cases at Gharrafat Al Rayyan, Al Sheehaniya, Abu Baker Al Siddiq, Rawdat Al Khail, Al Kaaban, Al Karaana, Al Ruwais, Umm Salal, Muaither, Al Mashaf, and Al Sadd. Meanwhile, Al Ruwais, Umm Salal, Leabaib, Muaither, Al Mashaf, and Al Sadd health centers will provide pediatric urgent care services.
The Community Call Center 16000 will continue to provide medical consultation services via telephone 24 hours a day. The medication home delivery service will be suspended on Wednesday and Thursday, December 18 and 19, with service resuming on Saturday, December 21, 2024.
