The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has announced starting the procedures of conducting the necessary checks-up of new students applying for joining schools during the academic year 2022-2023, effective from Sunday, 24 April 2022.

PHCC stressed that it has taken all necessary precautions and measures for the safety of students, after the mechanisms of and procedures of checking up students applying for joining schools this year have been developed, particularly in the light of COVID-19 pandemic.

PHCC’s team has worked to check up students in one visit only on schedule to reduce students’ visits to health centers for their safety.

The check-up procedures are summed up as follows: First step is that a parent must call 107 and select the medical checkup of school students to book an appointment for school registration, since specialized employees will book all appointments necessary for a student online for the dental clinic and family medicine clinic. Second step is that a parent with a student must attend his health center according to the day scheduled for the checkup, as well as the need to be present one hour ahead of appointment and bring necessary documents including (a valid QID card and health card, birth certificate and vaccination booklet).

During the visit, students should head to the reception, the nursing assessment, the laboratory to conduct the necessary tests, the social worker’s assessment, then the dental clinic on schedule, followed by a visit to the family doctor’s clinic to examine the student clinically on schedule to access to all examinations and test results, and issue the health certificate electronically. Parents then receive the student's e-file from the reception before leaving.

Students registered at Rawdat Al Khail health center, a designated COVID-19 facility, have been directed to alternative health centers for the safety of our students and parents. These are: Al Thumama, Omar Bin Al Khattab, and Airport health centers.

Results of the medical examination of students can be viewed electronically via a link shared with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE).
