The well-baby clinic is available at all primary health care centers in Qatar, offering a comprehensive package of healthcare services for children under 5 years old, following international standards. This package includes routine immunization, growth and developmental assessments, nutritional evaluations, guidance on breastfeeding and introducing solid foods, anticipatory guidance for development, and screenings for various health issues like hip dislocation, hearing and vision problems, developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and common childhood illnesses. If needed, curative services are also provided for this age group. The service involves eight scheduled appointments at ages 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 18, 30 months, and 4 years old, all aimed at enhancing the health and well-being of young children.
All PHCC registered children aged 0-5 years old.
Physician Referral: Referrals from primary care physicians or specialists.
Self-Referral: Child’s guardians can self-refer to the service without a prior physician referral.
