The National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) celebrated the Qatari Human Rights Day which coincides with the date of the establishment of the Committee on November 11, 2002. Decision to establish the Committee achieved a qualitative leap in the promotion and protection of human rights in Qatar, the establishment of the Committee was a catalyst for further protection and promotion of this important aspect.

The Committee celebrates the Qatari Day to remind of all the achievements of the State in this regard and to encourage society and institutions to do more to promote the human rights culture, which has become a real measure of the extent of civilization of countries and societies.
